Description :

This is an original, WWII, U.S. M1 Carbine manufactured by Winchester in its first production run in 1943. It is in its original WWII configuration with early parts, flip sights, and no bayonet mount. The stock is a high wood type with a two-rivet hand guard, but it has Underwood markings in the sling cut. This carbine is in fine condition. It retains about 80% of its original parkerized finish with light overall wear. The wear is a little heavier on the barrel and there are a few speckles on the barrel, as well. The finish on the gun has a light brown hue, as if it was exposed to cigarette smoke. Again, this is heavier on the barrel. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is in fine condition with a few small dings from use. It is stamped "M-U" in the sling cut. It has a hand rubbed oil finish which gives it a little sheen. Included is an original, early, khaki carbine sling. It is in fair to good condition. While completely intact, it is heavily soiled and has some staining. This is a good-looking, early example of a Winchester carbine. Stock no. 32758
