This is a civilian Colt 1903 Double-Action .38 Revolver manufactured in 1907. It is chambered for the .38 special cartridge. It is a 6-shot, double-action revolver with a 4-1/2" barrel. It has the side plate on the right side and the cylinder rotates counter-clockwise. This revolver was shipped to England and has British proofs and pressure markings. The British markings indicate that it is .38 Special. The revolver is in very good to fine condition with about 80-85% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is light overall wear, heaviest on the cylinder and top strap. There are a number of tiny scratches in the finish from use. The rear grip strap has a textured brown patina. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The brown hard rubber grips have the Rampant Colt emblem and are in fine condition with a couple of small dents in the checkering. There is a brass lanyard ring on the butt that I suspect was added by the British. I would love to know the history of this revolver. Stock no. 32631
