This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1911A1 Pistol manufactured by Remington Rand in 1945 and chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. This was the standard American sidearm of the Second World War. The M1911A1 soldiered on into the Vietnam War era. The pistol is in fine condition. It retains more than 95% of its parkerized finish. There is some light holster wear at the muzzle end of the slide. While most of the parkerized finish remains, it has developed a distinctly brownish hue. Those parts that are blued remain blue. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The checkered brown plastic grips are excellent, as well. This is a nice, untouched Model 1911A1. Stock no. 32711
