Here is a superb replica of the Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle made by Aldo Uberti of Italy. Imported by Stoeger Arms, it is chambered for the .45-70 Government Cartridge. A stalwart of the Indian Wars on the Plains, the Model 1873 was the rifle carried by Infantry in the Custer Era. This is an excellent replica in fantastic condition. It retains nearly 100% of its factory blued and cased color finishes. The bore and mechanics are excellent. There are a few small dings on the right side of the stock. Otherwise, it is like new. If you are a fan of the Trap Door Rifle but have mixed emotions about shooting an original, this will solve that problem. Stock no. 32206
