Item :	SMITH & WESSON .45 HAND EJECTOR MODEL OF 1950, .45 ACP

This is a Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1950 Revolver (Pre-Model 22) made in about 1952. It is a 6-shot, double-action revolver built on the large "N" frame. It has a 5 1/2" barrel and has been fitted with Smith & Wesson target grips. This is a rare variant with a bright blued finish and ".45 Cal. Model 1950" stamped on the right side of the barrel. Apparently, only 178 revolvers were stamped with this marking. This gun is in very good condition. Unfortunately, there is some finish damage with a small patch of rust on the right side of the barrel behind the front sight. There is another small area of rust on one of the cylinder flats and a bit more on the ejector pin lug. There are a few specks and tiny scratches elsewhere. The hammer and trigger retain most of their case colors. The bore, cylinders, and mechanics are excellent. The S&W factory target grips are excellent, as well. This needs a good cleaning, but it's a rare Smith & Wesson revolver. Stock no. 32173
