Item :	FINE MARLIN MODEL 1893 LEVER ACTION RIFLE, .30-30 CALIBER

Here is an original, Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Rifle chambered for the .30-30 Winchester cartridge. I believe this was made sometime between 1910 and 1915. It is marked Model 1893 rather than the later Model 93. Marlin made these from 1893 to 1936. This rifle has a 26-inch full octagon barrel. It is marked "Special Smokeless Steel". I believe that the receiver was originally blued, making this a Model "B". It also has a checkered pistol grip stock and checkered forearm. This would have been a special ordered feature as a straight grip stock was standard. This rifle is in very good to fine condition. The gun retains 60-70% of its blued finish. The finish on the receiver is a little thin and worn. Most of the wear on other areas is on exposed edges. The barrel retains more than 90% of its blue. The buttplate has developed a smooth brown patina. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very good with a scattering of small dings and scratches from use. The checkering shows a little wear from use. The front sight blade is reversed. It does not look to have been moved in a long time, so I left it as is. This is a good-looking Model 93 in nice condition. Stock no. 32036
