This is a Romanian Ratmil WUM-1 rifle chambered for the 7.62x39mm cartridge. Imported by Intrac, it is a semi-automatic AK-47 style rifle made in 1997. This rifle is fitted with a wire butt stock and composite pistol grip. The rifle is in fine condition. It retains more than 95% of its black factory finish. The rifle was improperly stored without oil and there are a few small rust spots in places. The rust is heaviest on the front sling attachment point and on the wire butt stock. I have cleaned it up some, but some rust remains in crevices. A detail cleaning is in order. There was a lot of rust on the magazine. I cleaned it up, but there are a few small rough areas remaining. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The forend and grip are excellent. Included is a nylon sling. There is some rust on the metal parts of the sling. This is a good-looking example of the AK. It should clean up well. Stock no. 31958
