RARE POLYTECH SKS HUNTER RIFLE, 7.62X39MM

This is a Chinese Polytech SKS Hunter Semi-Automatic Rifle chambered for the 7.62x39mm cartridge. This is basically a modified version of the SKS, without bayonet or cleaning rod, for use as a hunting rifle. The barrel has been cut to 16-1/2" and it has been factory fitted with sling swivels. The rifle is in very fine condition with nearly all of its black finish remaining. The bore is excellent. The stock is in fine condition with a few small dings and scratches from use. Mechanically, the rifle works great, IF the magazine is not in the gun. If the magazine is inserted, the bolt binds and will not close. It appears to be striking the left lip of the magazine. The magazine is heavily modified to hold just 5 rounds. I don't know if a unmodified magazine can be used or not. These rifles are quite rare with only 946 known to have been produced. It is the SKS with the most modifications and probably the rarest variant. Stock no. 32003
