This is a copy of the U.S. M1 Carbine made by Universal Firearms of Hialeah, Florida. It is chambered for the .30 Caliber Carbine cartridge. Universal made these from 1958 to 1987. Early production guns used original surplus parts, but by the 1970's most parts were of new manufacture. This carbine is in fine condition with about 98% of its blue/black finish remaining. There are a few very tiny speckles in the finish and some finish wear on the bolt. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The birch stock is in very fine condition with just a very tiny ding or two from use. Included is one 30-round magazine and an original military web sling. There is a little rust on the sling buckle.
