FINE SMITH & WESSON .22/32 KIT GUN, MODEL 34 (NO DASH)

This is a Smith & Wesson Model 34 (No Dash) revolver made about 1957 and chambered for the .223 Long Rifle cartridge. Known as the .22/32 Kit Gun it is a double-action, 6-shot revolver built on the small "J" frame. This one has a 4-inch barrel with an adjustable rear sight. This early example has magna grips with the diamond escutcheons and the early flat cylinder latch. The revolver is in fine condition with about 98% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is a drag line on the cylinder. The only hiccup is that a previous owner dovetailed a small brass insert on the ramp front sight blade. It is very well done, but there is some finish loss on the front blade. The hammer and trigger retain all of their case colors. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The checkered grips are excellent and are numbered to the gun. This is a great early example of the .22 Kit Gun. Stock no. 31926
