This is a Springfield Armory M1A Rifle manufactured by Springfield, Inc. of Geneseo, Illinois. It is chambered for the 7.62mm NATO cartridge. The M1A is a semi-automatic, civilian copy of the U.S. M14 Rifle. It has a 22-inch standard barrel. The gun feeds from a 20-round, detachable box magazine. The stock is black composite. This rifle is in very fine to excellent condition in its original factory box. It retains more than 98% of its black phosphate finish with just a hint of finish wear on the exposed edges of the gas cylinder. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock has just a tiny scuff or two from use or storage. The gun appears to have been fired very little. Included is a black nylon M1 sling in excellent condition. The rifle comes with 3 magazines. Two are 20-round. They are after-market. The other is the factory short magazine. The paperwork and gun lock are in the box. The box has some damage to one corner but is excellent otherwise. If you want a military style rifle in hard-hitting 7.62mm, this is a good choice. Stock no. 31909
