Item :	INLAND DIVISION U.S. M1 CARBINE, .30 CALIBER

Description :

Here is an original, U.S. M1 Carbine manufactured by the Inland Division of General Motors in 1944. It is chambered for the .30 Caliber carbine cartridge. This is a typical, post-war rebuild with updated parts and a bayonet mount. It is in fine condition with more than 90% of its parkerized finish remaining. There is light overall finish wear consistent with use. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is in very good condition with a scattering of small dings and scratches from use. There is a Rock Island Arsenal rebuild cartouche on the right side of the butt. Interestingly, the stock is an "I" cut high wood stock that has not been modified. Included is an original WWII magazine pouch, a muzzle cover, and a sling. The pouch is excellent with a 1943 date. The muzzle cover is dated 1944. The sling is the late war dark green and has a 1952 dated Mildew Resistant Treatment stamp. The magazine is either very late or an aftermarket example. This is a great example of the M1 Carbine as issued in Korea and Vietnam. Stock no. 30816
