Description :

|
This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1903-A3 Rifle manufactured by Smith-Corona in 1943. The Model '03-A3 was a simplified version of the Model 1903 Rifle that incorporated a number of stamped parts to speed production and decrease manufacturing cost. It also featured an updated aperture sight mounted on the rear of the receiver.
This rifle is in fine condition with about 90% of its Parkerized and blued finishes remaining. There is a little light overall finish wear. The stacking swivel band behind the nose cap has little finish remaining. The rifle has excellent mechanics. The bore shows a little wear but is bright and shiny. Externally, the barrel is a little rough near the muzzle. I think it is old rust with some pitting. It has been cleaned and stabilized. The stock is very good with a few small dings and scratches from use. The stock has the "OG" reinspection and rework cartouche of Ogden Arsenal on the left side of the butt. Stock no. 31735
