Description :

This is a French "Unique" Kriegsmodel Semi-Automatic Pistol made under German occupation during WWII. It is chambered for the .32 ACP (7.65mm) cartridge. Originally designated the Model 17, this pistol was not adopted by the French military. When the Germans captured the factory, they began producing the pistol for service with the Wehrmacht. It was only produced under the Germans for about 2 years before the Allies liberated the factory. The German version, the Kriegsmodel, has a Waffenamt marking on the left side of the frame. There is an Eagle proof on the left side of the barrel under the slide. The grips are marked "7.65 m/m" over "9 SCHUSS" (.32 Cal. 9 SHOT). This pistol is in very good condition. It has a thin watery blued finish that may have been redone. It may be a wartime finish. The French markings on the left side of the slide are faint with visible machine marks. It has about 30% of its blue remaining with the rest turning a smooth light brown. Both German acceptance marks are crisp. The mechanics work well and the bore is in fine condition. The grips are very fine with no chips or cracks. One magazine is included in fine condition. This is an interesting pistol of the Wehrmacht that is not often seen. Stock no. 31835
