This is a Colt Woodsman Target Pistol chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. This is a 2nd Series Woodsman manufactured in 1950. The 2nd series guns were made between 1947 and 1955. The target model has an adjustable rear target sight and a 6-inch barrel. The grips are the correct Coltwood plastic type. This pistol is in fine condition with about 80% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is a little holster wear on the barrel near the muzzle. The grip straps exhibit the most finish wear with a gray steel patina developing. There are some dings on the barrel just to the left of the front sight base. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The Coltwood grips are very fine with no chips or cracks and just a very tiny ding or two on the edges of the butt. The Colt Woodsman is a great little pistol. Stock no. 29664
