This is a commercial K98K rifle made by Mauser at their Oberndorf facility in 1934. It has the Mauser banner on the receiver ring. It is in fine condition, but the magazine floorplate and trigger guard have been polished bright with no finish remaining on these parts. The bolt is also bright. The remaining parts retain most of their black/blued finish. There is some wear on the butt plate. The rifle has excellent mechanics with a mismatched bolt. The bore is very fine to excellent. It is bright with strong rifling. The stock is in fine condition, lightly cleaned and given a coat of linseed oil. This is a good-looking, early K98k Mauser. Stock no. 31766
