This is an original, Model 1907 Semi-Automatic Pistol manufactured by Dreyse Rheinische Metallwaren- & Maschinenfabrik ABT. It is chambered for the 7.65mm (.32 ACP) cartridge. Designed by Louis Schmeisser, these were produced from 1907 to 1915. While generally marked with the Dreyse Factory name, a few were produced in 1914 with no Dreyse markings. I believe that this is one of the 1914 guns. The only markings on this pistol are German commercial proofs and the word "GERMANY", indicating that it was for export. The pistol is in fine condition with nearly all of its blued finish remaining. The blue has a matte appearance. There are a few small pits in a pea-sized area above the ejection port. I think that the blue has been touched up in that area. The gun has excellent mechanics and a fine bore. The black hard rubber grips have the entwined "RMF" monogram. They are in fine condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few tiny dings from use and light wear of the checkering. Many of these were purchased and carried by German officers in WWI.
