This is an original, Astra Model 1921 Semi-Automatic Pistol chambered for the 9mmLargo cartridge. Also known as the Model 400, it is a simple blow-back design with a 6-inch barrel. It was adopted as the standard Spanish Army sidearm in 1921. About 6,000 were sent to Germany during WWII, most of which served with the Luftwaffe. This pistol is in very fine condition with about 98% of its factory blued finish remaining. There are just a few tiny specks on the finish. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The black, hard rubber grips are very fine with just a few tiny dings from use. This pistol has the early Spanish Army acceptance proof on the left side of the trigger guard. This is a very nice example of the Astra 400. Stock no. 31598
