Description :

|
This is an original, Browning FN Model 1922 Pistol produced in Belgium after the German occupation. It is chambered for the 7.65mm (.32 ACP) cartridge. After overrunning a European nation, Germany would take over the arms manufacturers and produce whatever weapons they were tooled to build for service with the Wehrmacht. In Belgium it was Fabrique Nationale and production of the Hi Power and the M1922 continued for German use. This pistol has several German Waffenamt acceptance marks. This pistol is in fair to good condition with about 60% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is a large area of finish loss on the top and left side of the slide with some fine pitting. There is some finish wear on the grip straps. The mechanics are excellent as to function, but the slide stop lever will not hold the slide back. When you manually engage the stop, as soon as you release the lever it pops out of the notch and the slide falls. The edges are all sharp, I don't know why it won't stay in the notch. The bore is excellent. The grips are in very fine condition with no chips or cracks, but the left grip is missing the screw escutcheon. There is nothing for the grip screw to engage, so the grip falls off. Still this is a true WWII German M1922. Stock no. 31591
