Here is an original, Remington Model 2 Rolling Block Sporting Rifle chambered for the .32-20 (.32 WCF) cartridge. This is a lightweight version of the Model 1 rifle with a medium weight, 26" tapered octagon barrel. These were made from 1873 to 1910. This rifle is in good to very good condition. There is no finish left. The entire rifle has a steel patina with some fine brown speckles. The gun has excellent mechanics. The bore is fair to good. There was some pitting that has been well cleaned. The rifling is strongly visible along the barrel's length, but there is some pitting and light erosion at the throat. The stock and forearm are in fine condition with a few small dings from use. The forearm has an ebony or horn inlay at the Schnable tip. Blackpowder cartridges and lead bullets are pretty forgiving.
