This is a Finnish Model 1928 Mosin-Nagant Rifle made bt Tikka Arsenal and chambered for the 7.62x53mm Rimmed cartridge. Built on existing Russian receivers, the Model 1928 was the Civil Guard version of the Model 1927 Army rifle. It eliminated the hinged nose cap resulting in a stronger design. This rifle is in fine condition with mismatched parts. The rifle retains about 70% of its blued finish. There is some overall wear on the most exposed parts of the gun. The barrel band and nose cap have very little finish remaining. The bolt has a steel gray patina. The mechanics are excellent. The bore is in excellent condition, as well. It is bright and shiny. The stock is fine with a few dings and scratches from use. It has been lightly sanded and given a clear coat of some type. The cleaning rod is missing. There are tiny importer marks on the barrel.
