This is an original, WWII, British No.2 Mk.I* Revolver manufactured by Enfield in 1944. It is chambered for the .38 S&W (.38/200) cartridge. Adopted in 1939, the Mk.I* had a spurless hammer and was double action only. This was the standard British sidearm of the Second World War. This pistol is in very good to fine condition with matching numbers. It retains about 70% of its factory black paint-like finish. There is overall wear and scratching of the surface with the heaviest wear on the cylinder and the trigger guard. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The black plastic grips are in very fine condition with no chips or cracks. This is a nice example of the Enfield No.2 Mk.I* Revolver. Stock no. 31218
