This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1903-A3 Rifle manufactured by Remington Arms in 1943. It is chambered for the .30-06 Government cartridge. The Model '03-A3 was a simplified version of the Model 1903 Rifle that incorporated a number of stamped parts to speed production and decrease manufacturing cost. It also featured an updated aperture sight mounted on the rear of the receiver. This rifle is in fine condition with 90-95% of its factory parkerized and blued finishes remaining. There is light wear on the edges and a small scuff on the barrel. The rifle appears to be an untouched example that is completely correct. The barrel date is "9-43". The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very good with all the tiny sub-inspector's marks visible. There are some 2" gouges/scrapes in the wood where the rear band was forced off without being properly loosened. The stock has darkened with age and handling. Included is a replica Model 1907 sling in very fine condition. This is a nice original Model 1903A3 rifle that does not appear to have been rebuilt of refurbished. Stock no. 31149
