Item :	BSA MARTINI AUSTRALIAN CADET RIFLE, .310 CADET CALIBER

Here is an original, Australian Cadet Rifle manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms C0. Ltd. (BSA) and chambered for the .310 Cadet (.310 Greener) cartridge. These rifles were made for Australian Military Cadets. The rifles were produced by BSA and W.W. Greener in the United Kingdom between 1891 and about 1949. While these rifles look like a miniature Martini-Henry, the mechanism was redesigned to allow the receiver to be removed as a single unit. This rifle is in very good to fine condition with more than 90% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is light wear on the exposed edges and on the front sight cover. There are some small rust speckles on the trigger guard and lever. The butt plate has developed a smooth brown patina. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very good with a healthy scattering of small dings and scratches from use. The stock is nicely marked with the seal for Military Forces in the province of Western Australia. The receiver is also marked with "W.A" and a seperate Western Australia serial number which matches the stock. Included is a leather sling that appears to be original. It is in fine condition and remains flexible. While not a fan of sporterizing older guns, I will admit that I have always wanted to build a Rook Rifle on one of these actions. Stock no. 31110
