FINE, ALL MATCHING, ARGENTINE MODEL 1909 MAUSER INFANTRY RIFLE, 7.65X53MM

This is an original, Argentine Model 1909 Mauser Infantry Rifle manufactured by Deutsche Waffen-Und Munitionsfabriken (DWM). It is chambered for the 7.65x53mm cartridge. These rifles were a close copy of the German Gewehr 98 but had a modification that allowed the use of the existing Model 1891 bayonets that Argentina had on hand. This rifle is in fine condition with all matching numbers, including the cleaning rod. It has been arsenal refurbished and was reblued at that time. The receivers on these rifles were originally armory bright and this one is now blued. The bolt does remain armory bright. The rifle retains nearly 100% of its blued finish. The rifle has excellent mechanics and a fine bore. The stock is very fine with just a small ding or two from use or storage. It is numbered to the gun. The Model 1909 Argentine is one of the best Mausers ever made. This is a nice example. Stock no. 31079
