This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol manufactured by Ithaca in 1944. Chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge, this was the standard sidearm of the U.S. Military in WWII. It served throughout Korea and well into the Vietnam era. This pistol is in very good to fine condition with about 95% of its parkerized finish remaining. This pistol has undergone at least one arsenal refurbishment at which time it was reparkerized. There is some light wear of this finish on high edges. The barrel is a post-war replacement. The grips are the correct Keyes Fiber late type with reinforcing ribs. The pistol has excellent mechanics and an excellent bore. The grips are very fine with a bit more wear on the bottom of the left grip than on the right. Stock no. 30129
