This is a replica of the Remington 1858 New Model Army Revolver manufactured by Uberti in 2016. It is a single-action, percussion revolver with an 8"-barrel. The Remington was the 2nd most carried revolver of the Civil War. With its solid frame and back strap, it was also the strongest, and many thought the Remington to be superior to the Colt. This revolver is in very fine condition with its original box and paperwork. It retains about 98% of its factory blued finish. There is a small area on the right side of the frame with a few small dings and some finish wear. It is on the right side of the rammer channel. There is a drag line on the cylinder and a tiny scratch here and there. The bore and chambers are excellent. Mechanically, it feels like the revolver has had the action tuned. The gun cocks smoothly and the trigger is light and crisp. The grips are very fine with a bit of scuffing of the high gloss finish. The box is in good condition with one broken corner and some scuffing of the edges. The Remington is a great percussion revolver. Stock no. 30941
