This is a custom hunting rifle built on a Model 1903 Springfield rifle action. It is chambered for the .30-06 cartridge. This is a very well-built rifle, not a basement hack job. There are a number of small details that make the rifle stand out. The polishing and bluing is very well done. The screw heads are checkered, the bolt is jeweled. The hand-cut checkering wraps all the way around the full pistol grip and the forend. The front sight ramp has been textured to reduce glare. The rifle is fitted with a Lyman 48 receiver mounted rear peep sight. The butt plate appears to be checkered aluminum. This rifle is in very fine to excellent condition with about 98% of its blued finish remaining. The rifle has excellent mechanics and a perfect mirror-bright bore. The stock is very fine with just a tiny ding or two from use. There is a scratch in the checkering on the left side of the pistol grip just above the grip cap. Included is a leather rifle sling in fine condition. This is a beautiful rifle in great condition. Stock no. 30679
