This is a Czechoslovakian VZ.22 Long Infantry Rifle manufactured at the Czechoslovakian Arms factory in BRNO. It is a bolt action, Mauser style rifle chambered for the 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser) cartridge. All of the VZ.22 rifles were eventually sold to Turkey and have Turkish sights. That is the case here. this rifle is in very good condition with mismatched numbers. It has about 30% of its blued finish remaining with overall finish wear from use. The stock furniture has mostly a smooth light brown patina with some steel gray showing in areas. The rifle has excellent mechanics and a fine bore with strong rifling. The stock is very good with a scattering of small dings and scratches from use. Included is an original muzzle protector in fine condition. There are importer marks on the barrel. Stock no. 29318
