This is a Martini-Henry Model 12/15 Heavy Barrel Target Rifle manufactured by the Birmingham Small Arms Company, Ltd. and chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. This is one of the few rifles not having a "P" prefix serial number. This is probably a rifle made just before WWII. The rifle uses a small Martini-Henry style action. The heavy 29"-barrel tapers from about 1" at the breech to 3/4" at the muzzle. It has a receiver mounted adjustable rear peep sight and a globe front sight. It has a wide target forearm and a full pistol grip butt stock with a beavertail cheekpiece. This rifle is in very good to fine condition with about 85% of its blued finish remaining. It has a fine overall speckling of surface rust spots. The lever has a steel patina. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very good with a scattering of small dings and scratches from use. This rifle could use a good cleaning, but it should be a tack driver. Stock no. 30642
