VERY FINE, WWII JAPANESE TYPE 38 ARISAKA CARBINE W/ MUM, 6.5MM ARISAKA

Here is an original, WWII Japanese Type 38 Arisaka Carbine made at Nagoya Arsenal and chambered for the 6.5mm Arisaka cartridge. This was a shortened version of the Type 38 rifle with side mounted sling swivels. It was intended for mounted troops. This carbine is in very fine to excellent condition. All parts of the rifle match, except for the dust cover. The receiver ring has a full chrysanthemum national emblem. The rifle retains more than 95% of its factory blued finish. There is a small spot of finish loss on the magazine floor plate and another on the underside of the trigger guard. The dust cover, while not matching, is probably the best example I have ever seen. The action is smooth and works perfectly. The bore is excellent. The stock is very fine with just a few small dings from use. This is one of the best Type 38 Carbines I have ever seen. You would be hard-pressed to find a better one. Stock no. 30351
