This is an original, 1st Generation Colt Bisley Model Single Action Army Revolver made in 1901 and chambered for the .41 Long Colt cartridge. The Bisley Model featured a longer grip strap that curved forward more than a standard single action. It had a smaller raked back hammer and was intended more for the target shooter. It was named after Bisley, England, the 19th century site of the international shooting matches. This revolver is in antique good to very good condition with an overall smooth steel/brown patina. There are just traces of finish in protected crevices. The lettering on the barrel is faint. The gun works mechanically, but the action sounds a little clunky. It is hard to describe. Instead of sharp clicks when cocked, it is more clunk than click. The bore and chambers are fair, dark with some pitting. Rifling is visible along the bore's length. The black hard rubber grips are very fine with no chips or cracks. They have the oval with the Rampant Colt emblem. This is a nice untouched Colt Bisley. Stock no. 30485
