Here is an original, Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 1944 Carbine manufactured at Izhevsk Arsenal in 1945. It is chambered for the 7.62x54mm Rimmed cartridge. The Model 1944 varies from the earlier model 1938 by having a permanently attached folding bayonet. This carbine is in fine condition with about 98% of its blued finish remaining. There is a bit of finish wear on the nose cap. The bolt remains armory bright. The gun has excellent mechanics with an unnumbered bolt. The bore is excellent as well. The stock is very good, but has a liberal scattering of dings, scratches, and small gouges from use. Included is an original sling in fine condition. Stock no. 29856
