This is a Swedish Model 1896 Mauser Infantry Rifle manufactured by Carl Gustavs in 1900. It is chambered for the 6.5x55mm cartridge. This rifle is in very good condition with more than 90% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is some light finish wear on the high edges and the trigger guard. The bolt remains armory bright. There is some rust on the heel of the butt plate. The rifle has all matching numbers except for the barrel bands. The mechanics are excellent. The bore is in fine condition. It is a little frosty but has strong rifling along its length. The stock is in good condition but has a fairly heavy scattering of small dings and scratches from use. The range adjustment placard has been removed. There are importer marks on the barrel. These Swedish Mausers are rugged, dependable, and great shooters. Stock no. 29914
