WWII, REMINGTON, U.S. MODEL 1903-A3 RIFLE, .30-06

This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1903-A3 Rifle manufactured by Remington Arms in 1944. The Model '03-A3 was a simplified version of the Model 1903 Rifle that incorporated a number of stamped parts to speed production and decrease manufacturing cost. It also featured an updated aperture sight mounted on the rear of the receiver. This rifle is in very fine condition with more than 95% of its blued and parkerized finishes remaining. There is a little finish wear on the front sight band and the edges of the butt plate. The gun has a brilliant bore and excellent mechanics. The stock is very fine with a visible inspector's cartouche. It does have the appearance of having been "Boned" to give it some sheen. The gun does have an Ogden Arsenal Post-War inspection/rework mark. The barrel is dated "6-43". This is a very nice example of the '03A3. Stock no. 30018
