Description :
This is a No.4, Mk.I Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) Rifle manufactured at Long Branch Arsenal in Toronto, Canada in 1945. It is chambered for the .303 British cartridge. The No.4, Mk.I was the standard Commonwealth battle rifle of WWII, serving in every theatre. This rifle is in fine condition with 70-80% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is light overall wear on the high edges of the receiver. There is a bit more wear on the nose cap and exposed barrel. The magazine has heavier finish wear and there is no finish and a speckling of brown on the butt plate. The rifle has excellent mechanics with a mismatched bolt. The bore is excellent, bright, and shiny. The stock is very fine with just a few tiny dings from use. This is a good-looking No.4 in nice condition. Stock no. 29575
