This is a Winchester Model 1892 Rifle manufactured in 1905 and chambered for the .32-20 (.32 WCF) cartridge. Based on the Browning designed Model 1886 action, the Model 1892 was the best of Winchester's pistol cartridge lever action guns. This rifle has a crescent butt plate and a 24" round barrel. It is in fair to good condition. The rifle has been re-blued and had some fine pitting overall. There was heavy pitting on the butt plate, especially at the heel. All of the new blue remains on the gun. The rifle works very well mechanically. The bore is truly horrendous, rough as a cob. You can tell it was rifled if you look really hard. The stock is very good with a few dings and scratches from use. There is a metal pin or brad in the left side of the wrist. The front sight has a brass blade installed and the rear sight has no sight notch. This isn't in the best condition but displays well. Stock no. 29941
