Here is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol manufactured by Colt in 1943 and chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. The M1911A1 was the standard American sidearm of WWII through Korea with some serving in the Vietnam War. This pistol is in very good condition with an excellent bore and mechanics. The finish is fairly worn with about 60% remaining. It has overall finish wear consistent with use. There is no finish on the front grip strap. What finish remains appears to be original. I don't believe it has been refinished or rebuilt. The grips are very fine with just a hint of wear on the edge of the butt. This is a good war-time Colt that shows honest use. Stock no. 29967
