Item :	VERY FINE, WWII, GERMAN P.38 PISTOL BY SPREEWERK, 9MM

Description :

Here is an original, WWII German P.38 Pistol manufactured by Metallwarenfabrik Spreewerk, Berlin-Spandau("cyq" code). The P.38 was the standard sidearm of the Wehrmacht in WWII, replacing the P.08 Luger in 1938. The pistol is in very fine to excellent condition with all-matching numbers and more than 98% of its blued finish remaining. There is just the faintest hint of finish wear on the slide corner points. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The brown Bakelite grips are excellent, as well, with no chips or cracks. The included original magazine was made by Erste Nordboehmische Metallwarenfabrik, Adolf Roessler, Niedereinsiedel, Sudetenland ("jvd" code) and has a Waffenamt. There are tiny importer marks on the butt under the flange of the magazine. This is a great example of a Spreewerk p.38 in outstanding condition. A P.38 in this condition is becoming a hard gun to find. Stock no. 29826
