This is an original, Swedish Model 1867 Rolling Block Rifle built by Carl Gustaf in 1873 and chambered for the 12.17x44mm Rimmed centerfire cartridge. The M1867 served the Swedish military until it was replaced by Mauser Bolt Action Rifles in the 1890's. This rifle is in very good condition. It has little to no finish left with an overall brown patina. The receiver has a steel patina with a heavy speckling of brown. The rifle has excellent mechanics and a very fine bore. The stock is numbered to the gun and is in fine condition with just a few small dings and scratches from use. If you can cook up some 12.17x44R ammo, this rifle should shoot pretty well.
