Description :

This is an original, WWII production Browning Hi-Power Pistol chambered for the 9mm Parabellum cartridge. After the German occupation of Belgium in 1940, The FN plant was used to produce arms for the Wehrmacht. The Hi-Power was adopted as the P.35 or Pistole 640(b). The pistol was most often used by the Waffen-SS and Fallschirmjäger (Paratrooper) units. With its 13-round magazine, the Hi-Power was the first high capacity semi-automatic pistol. German military examples bear Waffenamt acceptance markings. This pistol has a WaA140 Waffenamt. The pistol is in very good condition with about 60% of its factory blued finish remaining. The surfaces of the gun have an overall speckling of surface rust that has lightly etched the surface. This is heavier on the grip straps and slide. The gun does have an excellent bore and mechanics. The wooden grips are in fine condition with some light wear from use. The left grip shows a bit more wear than the right. This is a Hi-Power that shows some definite use, but remains excellent mechanically. Stock no. 27544
