VERY FINE, WWII, US SPRINGFIELD M2 TRAINING RIFLE, .22 LR

Here is an original Springfield M2 Training Rifle manufactured in 1942 and chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. This is a late production rifle made during the war and simply stamped "M2". The rifle is in excellent condition with nearly 100% of its original parkerized finish remaining. There is a little finish wear on the front sight band. There is some speckled brown patina on the bolt knob which was originally finished bright. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The Springfield barrel is dated "5-42". The stock is in excellent condition as well with just a couple of tiny dings from use or storage. There is a crisp "P" on the pistol grip. There is a Springfield Armory inspection mark on the left side of the stock, which is probably post war. This is a beautiful M2 in great condition. Stock no. 27272
