This is an original, Winchester Model 1892 Rifle manufactured in 1913 and chambered for the .25-20 (25 W.C.F.) cartridge. The '92 Winchester was very popular and over 1,000,000 were produced between 1892 and 1941. This Winchester is in very good to fine condition with about 50% of its factory blued finish remaining. The majority of finish remains on the barrel and magazine tube. The receiver has traces of blue left in protected areas with an overall speckled brown patina. The stock mountings have also turned a smooth light brown. The rifle has excellent mechanics and a very good bore. The bore is a little dark, but the rifling is strong. The stock is fine with just a few tiny dings from use. A .25-20 Model 1892 is the perfect rifle for shooting prairie dogs with Old West style! Stock no. 24432
