PRE-WAR, 1931 COLT ACE .22 AUTOMATIC PISTOL

Here is a Colt Ace .22 Automatic Pistol manufactured in 1931, the first year of production. Similar to the Government .45, about 11,000 were manufactured between 1931 and 1941. A small number were also made in 1947. This pistol is in fine condition with about 95% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is some light holster wear on the front of the slide. There is a small area on the left side of the frame, just ahead of the slide stop, where some finish is missing. It looks like there may have been a touch of surface rust that was cleaned. This area is smaller than a dime. The grip straps show some light finish wear, as well. The pistol has an excellent bore and mechanics. The grips are in very fine condition with just one tiny ding on the left panel. Included are two magazines and an extra barrel. This is a very nice, early Colt Ace in great condition. Stock no. 23962
