This is a Colt Police Positive Target Model .22 caliber Revolver manufactured in 1917. This is a First Issue , Model "G" Target Model. These were produced from 1907-1925. These revolvers had 6" barrels and an adjustable rear sight. They were fitted with hard rubber grips until 1923. This revolver is in excellent condition. It retains about 98% of its factory blued finish. The only blemish is a tiny area of corrosion on the frame above the cylinder/forcing cone joint. This is right on the edge of the cylinder cut-out of the frame on either side. There is a hint of holster wear at the muzzle. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The hard rubber Colt logo grips are in perfect condition. This is an extraordinary example of a First Issue Colt Target Model Revolver. Stock no. 23770
