1956 WINCHESTER MODEL 88 RIFLE, .308 WIN.

Here is a Winchester Model 88 Rifle manufactured in 1956 and chambered for the .308 Winchester cartridge. Winchester began making these rifles in 1955, Pre-64 examples like this one had cut diamond checkering. This rifle is in very fine condition. It retains nearly 100% of its factory blued finish. There is just a hint of finish wear on the front sight cover. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is in fine condition. There are a couple of tiny dings overall and one significant scratch on the right side of the butt. This is a fine pre-64 Winchester M88 in a great modern chambering. Stock no. 23706
