This is a Colt Detective Special revolver manufactured in the late 1960's. This is a Second Issue Detective Special chambered for the .38 special cartridge. This variation was made from 1947-1972. This revolver has wrap around wood grips and the scarce and desirable 3" barrel. The revolver is in excellent, like new condition with 100% of its factory blued finish remaining. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The wooden grips are also excellent with no chips, cracks, or dings. This is an outstanding example of the 3" Detective Special. Stock no. 23513
