This is a Third Generation Colt New Frontier Single Action Revolver manufactured in 1978 and chambered for the .45 Long Colt cartridge. It has a 7 1/2" barrel. The New Frontier featured a flat top and an adjustable rear sight. The Third Generation New Frontier Revolvers were only made from 1978-1981. This revolver is in excellent, like new condition in the original factory box. It retains 100% of its original factory blued finish and factory case colors on the frame. The bore, chambers, mechanics, and grips are all excellent. The box is in very good condition with some scuffing and wear around the edges. These boxes were made of flimsy cardboard that doesn't hold up well. The flaps are beginning to separate from the box. The gun info is written on the end panel in black magic marker. The factory paperwork is still in its plastic bag, taped to the styrofoam insert. This is a 40 year old Colt New Frontier in superb condition. Stock no. 23421
