WINCHESTER M-1 CARBINE, SHOOTER GRADE

This is an M-1 Carbine manufactured by Winchester in the last half of 1943. It has undergone several re-builds and has been reparkerized at least once. It has a mixture of parts, including a Type IV fabricated trigger housing made by Standard products. The gun is in an M-2 stock, but has an early 2-rivet handguard made for IBM by Spraguer Carleton. The carbine retains nearly all of its current parkerized finish. There is a little light wear on the left side of the barrel on the raised lettering of the importer's marking. Yes, it has importer markings from Blue Sky, Arlington, VA. and probably came back from Korea. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock has a number of dings and scratches in the wood. The butt plate has a number of small dents. Included is a late Inland magazine that has been parkerized. This should make a decent shooter. With a better stock, it would be a good looking carbine as well. Stock no. 23282
