U.S. SPRINGFIELD M1 GARAND RIFLE

Here is a U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M-1 produced at Springfield Armory in 1955. Probably a DCM gun, it has mostly Springfield parts, but the op rod is marked "HRA". It is in fine condition overall, retaining more than 95% of its parkerized finish. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The bore gauges 1 at the muzzle and 1 at the throat. The stock has some small dings from use and storage. It has a glossy sheen and may have been coated with some type of oil finish. It smells like linseed oil. The Department Of Defense inspector's cartouche remains on the left side of the stock, as does the "P" proof on the pistol grip. While post-war, this is a nice M1 Garand, both mechanically and condition-wise. Stock no. 21017
